FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 12
Top FPL player targets this weekend:
GK: Hugo Lloris (TOT, GK, £5.5mil, 6.6% ownership)
DEF: Jannik Vestergaard (SOU, DEF, £4.8mil, 12.8% ownership)
MID: Mohamad Salah (LIV, MID, £12.3mil, 34.6% ownership)
FWD: Callum Wilson (NEW, FWD, £6.6mil, 16.4% ownership)
Who are the teams to look out for and avoid?:
Southampton (Watch): Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
Spurs (Watch): Jose Mourinho has been working hard to turn Spurs into a well-oiled machine. Son and Kane are having the time of their lives and appear to be only capable of getting returns from each other. Goals, assists, who cares, all I know is that they are the first two names in my FPL team now. I can see Palace struggling in this fixture.
Man City & Manchester United (Watch & Avoid): I think this game will be a high scoring draw, so there will be lots of fantasy points, but not a clear-cut result. Nothing against either teams, just never know how this game is going to go, or if one team is going to cut out the other team’s fantasy points.
Arsenal (Avoid): Yeah, Arsenal are in a strange place right now. Mikel Arteta has some of the best attacking players in the league, and he has Tony Pulis posters on his bedroom walls because they aren’t playing good football. They have a good home fixture, but that doesn’t matter when they are struggling this season.
Gameweek 12 – FPL Differential Picks:
LEE/WHU: Raphael Dias Belloli (LEE, MID, £5.4mil, 0.6% ownership)
WOL/AVL: Daniel Podence (WOL, MID, £5.4mil, 3.5% ownership)
NEW/WBA: Federico Fernández (NEW, DEF, £4.8mil, 0.8% ownership)
MUN/MCI: Marcus Rashford (MUN, MID, £9.4mil, 6.0% ownership)
EVE/CHE: Olivier Giroud (CHE, FWD, £6.7mil, 1.3% ownership)
SOU/SHU: Danny Ings (SOU, FWD, £8.3mil, 7.2% ownership)
CRY/TOT: Hugo Lloris (TOT, GK, £5.5mil, 6.6% ownership)
FUL/LIV: Joel Matip (LIV, DEF, £5.4mil, 1.3% ownership)
ARS/BUR: William (ARS, MID, £7.6mil, 3.8% ownership)
LEI/BHA: James Maddison (LEI, MID, £7.0mil, 2.6% ownership)
Differential Captain: Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)
The best differential captain is in the toughest fixture to guess, and most people will look at this fixture saying “oh, it is Man City, no way they get a result!” but the truth is that Man United will attack the City defence. From experience whenever the City defence is attacked it folds like a poor hand of cards. Rashford has two assists and a goal in his last five games, with the goal coming in last weeks win at West Ham. Rashford has scored goals in this fixture and is good value in this high-stakes fixture.

FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 12
Top FPL player targets this weekend:
Mohamed Salah and James Ward-Prowse made it in to my team this week for -4 points as I opted not to have Mahrez & Fernandez clash in the Manchester Derby. I really fancy Southampton, Liverpool and Spurs this week – which for the most part has been how many a million FPL player has viewed the season.
There are a few clashes too, but with a midweek Gameweek on the immediate horizon, it is time to start shuffling the pack ahead of what will be a hectic festive period of fixtures.
Who are the teams to look out for and avoid?:
Spurs (Watch): Officially a staple of FPL this year. Kane and Son are mandatory picks as they look set to smash the goal/assist combination record this season by a big, big margin! Crystal Palace should be a routine win for Spurs, though with Roy Hodgson’s application against bigger teams, it should be a close contest.
Leicester (Cautious): When you expect Leicester to get a result at home, they lose. It could be one of those weekend’s with Brighton visiting.
Arsenal (Watch): It’s not rock and roll football in North London right now, but surely they’ll look like rockstars against a frigid Burnely side who lack any creativity, right?
Southampton (Watch): Sheffield United’s second season syndrome is about to become its own pandemic. This should be a win for The Saints, especially as Danny Ings is back on the radar.
Chelsea (Watch): I think Lampard’s side will edge this clash of FPL options, with Calvert-Lewin out to wipe out the clean sheets of Zouma/Mendy/Chilwell owners. When this happens, everyone ends up disappointed, so it might be the moment for Allan to get his first goal for The Toffees.
Man United (Avoid) & Man City (Watch): Another clash game as Bruno Fernandes goes up against City. This should be one-side in Ciy’s favour (sorry to those on Reddit who hate it that I’m not high as a kite when it comes to United).
Liverpool (Watch): Without doubt, the champs are the ones to bank on this week. Salah is the automatic captaincy pick, Alisson is likely coming back, TAA too, and most got a rest in midweek in the Champions League.
Wolves (Cautious): I know it was against Liverpool, but Wolves lacked a central presence without Raul Jimenez at Anfield. This will need to be addressed before the Mexican international makes his return early next year (thank goodness the collision wasn’t any worse, Raul is a fantastic player).
Gameweek 12 - FPL Captaincy Picks:
