FPL Gameweek 6: Goalkeeper Selections
1) Ederson (MCI) - £5.6m – vs. Cardiff (a)
The most selected keeper in FPL might give a definitive advantage in defence this week with Benjamin Mendy ruled out through injury, meaning those banking on Ederson’s two clean sheets and assists, might be the real victors as Champions, Man City, travel to unfancied Cardiff.
2) Alisson (LIV) - £5.6m – vs. Southampton (H)
Liverpool are yet to concede a goal at home in the Premier League, with visitors Southampton missing a host of Forward players. Looking for home advantage this week there is no other place to start than with Allison, who has kept home clean sheets against West Ham and Brighton this season.
3) Wayne Hennessey (CRY) - £4.5m – vs. Newcastle (H)
The in-form selection of our goalkeeper selections is Welsh international, Wayne Hennessey, who followed up a penalty save against Southampton in GW4 with a clean sheet in a rather comfortable 1-0 away win at Huddersfield. Goal shy Newcastle are the perfect opponents for FPL players to sleep well over their defensive decisions this weekend.
4) Kasper Schmeichel (LEI) - £5.0m – vs. Huddersfield (H)
With 11 points currently on the board this season there is little confidence that Kasper Schmeichel might be an FPL option this year, though the measure of his opposition this weekend, a lowly Huddersfield side desperately short in front of goal, gives Kasper a birth of potential this weekend as Leicester look to bounce back from a recent 4-2 drubbing at Bournemouth.
5) Ben Foster (WAT) - £4.5m – vs. Fulham (a)
With West Ham, Wolves and Brighton showing big signs of attacking intent, we’ve decided to bank on Ben Foster to defy the odds this weekend in a strong Watford side who have only drawn 10 saves out of Ben Foster. Fulham have the man of the hour in Mitrovic, but will find it hard to find a way through a stubborn Hornets backline
Others considerations:
Arrizabalaga (CHE), de Gea (MUN), Vorm (TOT), Hart (BUR) and Begovic (BOU)
FPL Gameweek 6: Defender Selections
1) Kyle Walker (MCI) - £6.5m – vs. Cardiff (a)
Gameweek 6 offers a slightly different landscape from a defensive point-of-view, with Benjamin Mendy missing through injury. With rotatable options in central defence the only potentially reliable source comes in the form of Kyle Walker down the right of City’s defence. Walker has amassed 16 points from his last 2 matches which is the perfect warm up when travelling to a Cardiff side who only looked a credible attacking threat against an Arsenal team that just can’t defend.
2) Andrew Robertson (LIV) - £6.1m – vs. Southampton (H)
3) Virgil van Dijk (LIV) - £6.0m – vs. Southampton (H)
4) Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) - £5.0m – vs. Southampton (H)
Southampton’s visit to Anfield means the deck is stacked in Liverpool’s favour. In truth we should probably include Joe Gomez to complete a full back four in contention for points this week, though FPL players will have a lot to digest from with the selections of Virgil and Robbo, with many hoping that one of TAA’s free-kicks will soon burst the back of the net. Why not this week?
5) Marcos Alonso (CHE) - £6.8m – vs. West Ham (a)
6) Cesar Azpilicueta (CHE) - £6.4m – vs. West Ham (a)
After 44 points from his opening 4 games, the bubble burst on Marcos Alonso in the least likely manner – against Cardiff at home! The Spanish pairing of Alonso and Azpi look set to potentially get their hunt for FPL points back on track, especially after Alonso called out the official FPL account for failing to award him with the assist for Chelsea’s 4th goal against Cardiff last weekend. West Ham might be without their focal point, Marko Arnautovic, to make matters better for defensive returns this weekend.
7) Patrick van Aanholt (CRY) - £5.5m – vs. Newcastle (H)
8) Mamadou Sakho (CRY) - £5.0m – vs. Newcastle (H)
Crystal Palace offer the full array of FPL potential this week, with full-backs that offer attacking threat, as well as central assets that are in the mix for bonus points. Mamadou Sakho is criminally overlooked with just 1.6% ownership, due in part to PVA’s and Wan Bissaka’s popularity amongst the community, but with 5 bonus points spread across 3 games, Sakho is the real muscle to consider in Palace’s defence against a Newcastle side who are struggling at both ends of the pitch this season.
9) Luke Shaw (MUN) - £5.1m – vs. Wolves (H)
The longer the season goes on, the better Luke Shaw is looking. The full-back returned to United’s starting line-up against Young Boys and it will be a massive injustice if he misses out this weekend against a Wolves side who have tightened up, potentially meaning a cagey affair against Man Untied is on the horizon due to the play styles. Shaw is the perfect remedy for Mendy’s absence this week, especially with clean sheet potentially only really found in a few teams this weekend.
10) Ricardo Pereira (LEI) - £5.1m – vs. Huddersfield (H)
New signings have hit the ground running for Leicester in the FPL this season, with midfielder James Maddison the pick of the bunch. Ricardo Pereira’s 3 assists and sole clean sheet this season shouldn’t be overlooked, with the right back expected to be found in advanced positions against a Huddersfield side that will sit deep and allow the likes of Pereira to play.
FPL Gameweek 6: Midfielder Selections
1) Mohamad Salah (LIV) - £13.0mil vs. Southampton (H)
2) Sadio Mane (LIV) - £10.0mil vs. Southampton (H)
3) James Milner (LIV) - £5.6mil vs. Southampton (H)
Nothing changes at the top for the fifth straight week. Either of يمكن أن يكون مادة الكابتن ، والمسلمين المقيمين في صفوف ليفربول سوف يعيثون الفوضى في فريق روي هودجسون. Also, James Milner is here for the ride after picking up four returns in five games. After the exploits against PSG the Reds feeder club rivals must be rueing their luck at facing them in their current vein of form.
4) Raheem Sterling (MCI) - £11.0mil vs. Cardiff (A)
5) David Silva (MCI) - £8.5mil vs. Cardiff (A)
Manchester City have yet again another comfortable fixture, the Premier League really did ensure that they had everything in their favour to start the Premier League with plenty of points. Arsenal, Huddersfield, Wolves, Newcastle, Fulham, and now Cardiff. From those six opening games they have faced all three of the newly promoted teams, two from last season, and the league’s worst team in the top six who can’t beat anyone above them.
Sterling and Silva both scored against Fulham, and we are hoping that it is enough to keep them in the team and away from the ruthless roulette orchestrated by Pep Guardiola.
6) Eden Hazard (CHE) - £10.8mil vs. West Ham (A)
7) Pedro (CHE) - £6.8mil vs. West Ham (A)
No changes in the top three clubs, and with good reason. Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea have been given good fixtures to start the season (lesser so than Liverpool who have grinded results). Eden Hazard has been electric and looks a real force based on his performances so far. West Ham beat a weak Everton team, so I can’t imagine why Chelsea would have a problem at the London Stadium.
8) James Maddison (LEI) - £6.6mil vs. Huddersfield (H)
Three returns from five so far this season from the up-and-coming future England midfielder. The penalty he scored the Leicester was a relief for managers who banked on him against Bournemouth, and against Huddersfield at the King Power it could be another fruitful outing for a man that Gareth Southgate will be calling very soon.
9) Lucas Moura (TOT) - £7.3mil vs. Brighton (A)
Despite losing three consecutive matches 2-1 in a row, Spurs are in what is deemed to be a good fixture, one that they should bounce back from. The odds of them losing another match by that score line is slim, there is more of a chance of them bouncing back against Brighton, a team who has yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Lucas Moura has been a bright spark for Spurs and could offer that ability to recover from their slump.
10) Richarlison (EVE) - £6.6mil vs. Arsenal (A)
What Everton missed when Richarlison was suspended was a focal point. Tosun benefited with the Brazilian on his left, and Walcott to his right. The balance was thrown off when Richarlison wasn’t in the team, and before his suspension he had three goals from two games. Arsenal are still figuring out what they are under Unai Emery, and if there is anyone to exploit the ever-gaping hole at right-back, it is Richarlison.
FPL Gameweek 6: Forward Selections
1) Roberto Firmino (LIV) - £9.4mil vs. Southampton (H)
The man of the hour is Liverpool’s one-eyed Brazilian. Without him, Liverpool’s season would be looking totally different. He has deserved the top honour this week with a trip of Liverpool’s resident feeder club to Anfield. On current form nobody is debating the potential for the Reds to make it six from six.

Firmino to score the winner versus Southampton?
2) Sergio Aguero (MCI) - £11.4mil vs. Cardiff (A)
Shaking off the ankle injury that took him off the pitch in the visit of Fulham last weekend, the Argentine has a more favourable fixture. The Argentine drops down a place because he has not scored a goal since gameweek two against Huddersfield, but he has also picked up three assists to keep FPL managers somewhat happy. Aguero should be scoring against the Bluebirds, it is long overdue.
3) Aleksandar Mitrovic (FUL) - £6.8mil vs. Watford (H)
The Serbian has played the ninety minutes in all five games this season, he is pivotal to the way that Fulham conduct their business on the pitch and it shows. Mitrovic has been on fire since his move from Newcastle, four goals and one assist say it all, and we are left scratching our heads as to why Rafa Benitez had to shop around for relegated, and questionable, budget strikers when they had a player of Mitro’s quality in their team. Watford will be weary of Fulham’s attacking potential.
4) Wilfried Zaha (CRY) - £7.0mil vs. Huddersfield (A)
The Ivorian, should-be England winger, keeps his place in the strikers list this week after a solid showing against Huddersfield last weekend. His silky and ingenious goal that sunk the Terriers shows that type of striker that Zaha is, he is a player than force something out of very little. That quality will also be needed against Newcastle who will sit in a bank of ten to stop Zaha from touching the ball. This shouldn’t faze him, Newcastle have been defensively dysfunctional for quit a while now.
5) Romelu Lukaku (MUN) - £11.0mil vs. Wolves (H)
Believe it or not, the Belgian striker has three goals from his past two fixtures. You can never rule out Manchester United at Old Trafford, and they finally got the big man scoring again. The Red Devil’s know how to force an issue when at home, and with Lukaku in form you can’t look past them.
Others to consider:
Calum Wilson (BOU) - £6.2mil vs. Leicester (H)
Harry Kane (TOT) - £12.4mil vs. Brighton (A)
Aleksandar Lacazette (ARS) - £9.4mil vs Everton (H)
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ARS) - £10.9mil vs Everton (H)
Jamie Vardy (LEI) - £8.9mil vs Huddersfield (H)
