FPL FORECAST 2016/17: Gameweek 32
Each and every week the three members of The Hype Team post their Premier League and FPL predictions in an attempt to enlighten players that might be stuck with their FPL choices and transfers. In addition, we’ll be taking on a guest for every Gameweek in the PL. On the weekly agenda are a general predictions category, a Gameweek Fantasy Premier League forecast, scout picks, and captaincy choices. For Gameweek 32 we welcome @FPL_GOAT as our next guest. All aboard.
Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 32 Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.
The transfer deadline for GW32 is Saturday 8th April 2017 at 11:30am.
How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of the first edition of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interest parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions (Mark Lawrenson style, only less biased, hopefully) and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast.A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, the wildcard differential players, and general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).
Fixture Prediction: 2016/17 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Middlesbrough 0-1 Burnley
Stoke 1-2 Liverpool
West Brom 0-1 Southampton
West Ham 1-2 Swansea
Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea
Sunderland 0-2 Man United
Everton 2-3 Leicester
Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal
FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 32
Best GW Attacking Options:
Chelsea (a) vs. Bournemouth Spurs (H) vs. Watford
Man City (H) vs. Hull
Crystal Palace (H) vs. Arsenal
Man United (a) vs. Sunderland
Arsenal (H) vs. Crystal Palace
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Burnley (a) vs. Middlesbrough
Chelsea (a) vs. Bournemouth
Man United (a) vs. Sunderland
Spurs (H) vs. Watford
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bailly, Zaha, Sergio Aguero, Ben Gibson.
OUT: Sadio Mane Phillipe Coutinho, Gareth McAuley (blank GW34), Leighton Baines.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Spurs: Against lower class opposition the Lilywhites always look good for their money, I’d consider doubling down on Alli and Eriksen for the week. Kane nearing a return is also good news for them.
Man City: AGUERROOOOO. That is what the FPL wants to hear, that is what the FPL gets.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Watford: Going to be brutalised by Spurs.
Liverpool: Injuries to key men, and a potential change of shape due to rotation means Liverpool are a bunch of differentials clinging together in hope of making the top four this season.
GW Differential Picks:
Ross Barkley: Mercurial is a word to use Barkley from time to time, as is unpredictable. The Everton midfielder is the best link to Romelu Lukaku so watch this space.
Divock Origi: Playing up top and has two goals from his last two games, going to be involved against Stoke so why not back him with all the dead teams left in the FPL?
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Returned with a goal against Everton which won them the match (according to the media) so expecting more fireworks from the Swede who is looking to make up for lost time when the Red Devils travel to Sunderland.
(VC) Sergio Aguero – I don’t like writing about Aguero, his inclusion should state my intent to see him as an option this gameweek.
Other Gameweek Comments:
Rotation, rotation, rotation. Beware the wicked witch of the FPL calendar. This close since another gameweek has trouble written all over it for this gameweek.

Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Spurs (H) vs. Watford
Man City (H) vs. Hull
Arsenal (a) vs. Crystal Palace
West Brom (H) vs. Southampton
GW Differential Picks:
Marko Arnautovic (STK) – Facing a side that’s lost all of its creative players and a defence that struggles to hold onto clean sheets. I can see Stoke holding the ball for long periods and providing most of the creative play. Marko is usually involved when Stoke get things right.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Sergio Aguero – An in-form player of his calibre against Hull City cannot be overlooked. Any managers not owning/captaining could be doomed to fail.
(VC) Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Sunderland are almost resigned to an away trip to Loftus Road next season and Zlatan’s return should make that even more certain. Only downside of owning him now is the visit of Chelsea for GW33.
Other Gameweek Comments:
Now is the time to make funds available for the inevitable dip into DGW teams.
Aguero, Sanchez, Hazard, Lukaku, and Kane, are all set to feature in the same Gameweek for the first time in months, meaning there’s a wealth of options spread across more teams for this Gameweek.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Zlatan, Bailly, Zaha, Hennessey, Aguero, Gibson, Negredo (if you’re feeling a differential for GW34)
OUT: Liverpool midfielders (Poor Mane and Coutinho), West Brom players (blank GW34), Everton defenders
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Swansea – The Swans will be devastated due to their last minute loss to Spurs in midweek, and will look to hit back hard against a West Ham side that are dangerously close to the drop zone. They travel to the London Stadium in a match that has quickly become a crunch relegation six pointer, and I fancy Swansea to pull the rabbit out of the hat. There’s a drowning feel at West Ham so their problems (and potentially Bilic’s future) could escalate dramatically.
Boro/Burnley – If there was ever a destined 0-0 in the Premier League, then surely this is the game? Defensive returns highly likely on both ends.
Spurs – They could be the standout performers for GW32, facing a Watford side that could be makeshift. Alli, Eriksen, and Son, are all in form, and should be a good time to bank on one as captain. Spurs also love the limelight and usually perform well when the cameras are rolling.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Watford – Injury after injury, suspensions, and doubts leading into their away day at Spurs. It might be a long afternoon for the Hornets at the Lane.
Arsenal – A win over West Ham doesn’t paper over the cracks. Palace are pulling off a great run of results and could put Arsenal to the sword this week. Sanchez’s future is still up in the air as well, which is having a profound impact at the club.
GW Differential Picks:
Eric Bailly (MUN) - Getting bonus points, and United play Sunderland. Easy.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Dele Alli – Spurs might be in the first game, however Watford are currently suffering with injuries and suspensions, which might play into the favour of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, who could profit immensely. Form favours Alli in particular, who has been the individual to work himself into the shooting positions inside the box. I also favour Hull defensively, which makes me question Aguero’s impact when he’ll be marked by three men.
(VC) Sergio Aguero – Close call for top billing this week, but Aguero has to settle for the vice captaincy this week. Watford will leak goals, whereas Hull are defensively compact and could provide an afternoon of frustration with City. The Manchester side did lose their last game, and even though it’s obvious to bank on Aguero for a goal, overall it’s been a hit and miss season for the Argentine, and for GW32 I’m banking on reliability.

My Scout Picks squad this week is packed to the max with high priced player selections, and this is probably down to the wealth of options available across the league. Spurs, Chelsea, United, and City, all have fixtures worth pouncing on. For the first time in a while City and United have a wealth of FPL options available, and on form, which adds to the stock of Chelsea and Spurs in the FPL. Leicester could probably be included in this list given we’re talking about the Champions who have won their last 5 matches with relative ease.
Notable absentees for me this week are Leicester players, Gylfi Sigurdsson, an out of form Diego Costa, and any Liverpool player, as I’m scared that picking any option from the red half of Merseyside will rule them out for the season.

Man United (A) vs Sunderland
Man City (H) vs Hull
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Spurs (H) vs Watford
Man United (A) vs Sunderland

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Ben Davies, Valencia, Alli, Sane, Zaha, Ibrahimovic, Lukaku
OUT: Cech/Koscielny (Even if fit), Pedro (Being deployed at RWB/rotation risk), Defoe, Costa (Lost form, better value available.)
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Tottenham – Form team in the league who provide FPL assets across the pitch. Back to back home fixtures v Watford & Bournemouth to come, as well as a DGW on the horizon.
Crystal Palace –Tough fixtures but good form bar the midweek defeat. Fighting for survival and DGW34 to come.
Man United – Poor form but Sunderland next up, Champions league place to fight for, and a DGW (albeit not the easiest looking one) to come in GW34.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Sunderland – They look as good as down now and lack any quality FPL assets bar Defoe for whom the goals have also dried up.
West Brom – Very little to play for, average fixtures, no DGW’s, blank GW in 34.
Leicester – 4 away games in a row in the league, nearly safe from the drop, Champions League distraction, and 4 games in 9 days in all competitions so a risk of rotation.
GW Differential Picks:
Ben Davies Manuel Lanzini Leroy Sane
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Dele Alli
(VC): Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Other Gameweek Comments:
With it being the third GW in a week, be ready for possible rotation of players.
